Also known as Orange Hawkbit, this is a perennial flowering plant native to central and southern Europe with deep orange flowers held in clusters emerging from hairy leaves. Reaching up to 60 cm tall and flowering between June and July this plant prefers a damp sunny meadow with an natural pH. Best suited to large meadows where it can battle other fast spreading meadow flowers. It can become invasive in an area as it spreads by runners as well as seeds but is easily weeded out by soil disturbance.
